Keen to improve your editorial skills? Want to help young people have their voices heard? Join our team here at The Meridian Magazine!
We are looking for enthusiastic, driven and passionate 16-25 year olds to take on editorial roles.
In the role of Editor, you would be working with the other editors of your section to help sort through incoming pitches, copy-edit submissions and commission illustrations from the creative team.
No previous journalistic experience is required - we are simply looking for people who can demonstrate their passion for the region they wish to edit and show their enthusiasm for writing and editing!
The application process is blind - the editors will be judging your applications with no name or personal information attached, so please do ensure you include no details that would reveal your identity in your application (we will use the email address you use to send this form to contact you regarding the outcome of your application). If, for instance, you are writing about your previous experience with journalism or your other commitments, don't tell us the specific name of any publication you write for or the society you are involved with.
Fill in the questions below (adhering to the word limit of 250 words per answer) and email your completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and the section you wish to apply for in the subject line (eg. John Smith - North America) - this will ONLY be used to sort applications and the editors will not be shown your name.
The deadline is 13:00 GMT on Tuesday September 14th.
Best of luck!
